MEP BIM modelling develops HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems into coordinated networks with defined equipment, routes, sizes, levels and connections. Each service must work technically while fitting around structure, architecture and every competing installation.
Treating MEP as disconnected linework causes problems at the busiest interfaces. Ducts collide with beams, cable containment blocks access panels, pipe gradients run out of depth and maintainable equipment becomes impossible to reach.
