What is BIM multidisciplinary modelling?
On most projects, each discipline works in isolation: architects produce their drawings, structural engineers produce theirs, and the MEP team produces another set again. The gaps between those models are where coordination problems, rework and cost overruns are born.
Multidisciplinary modelling solves this by developing every discipline inside a common data environment and federating them into one intelligent 3D model. Each element — a wall, a beam, a duct, a cable tray — carries geometry and data together, and is checked against every other discipline. The result is a digital twin of the building that is accurate, coordinated and ready to drive procurement, fabrication and construction.
